The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh (1979) From IMDB: The Pittsburgh basketball team is hopeless. Maybe with the aid of an astrologer, and some new astrologically compatible players, they can become winners.
Def by Temptation (1990) This low-budget movie is actually pretty good. This scene features a psychic who channels this demon that is out to get the main character played by writer, producer, director and actor, James Bond, III. Samuel L. Jackson plays a bit role in this movie as well as Kadeem Hardison (Dwayne Wayne from A Different World TV series).

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
In the movie, Astrology is the harbinger of bad times with the young adults learning that Saturn was retrograde at the time of their fateful journey.
From the Film:
Pam: Hey, listen to Franklin's horoscope. "Travel in the country, long-range plans, and upsetting persons around you, could make this a disturbing and unpredictable day. The events in the world are not doing much either to cheer one up."
Jerry: That's just perfect. And now read Sally's.
Pam: [reading from the American Astrology book] Oh, no. Capricorn's ruled by Saturn. "There are moments when we cannot believe that what is happening is really true. Pinch yourself and you may find out that it is."
Caught Up (1997) An ex-con falls in love with a mysterious Tarot Reader who divines his precarious future in this suspenseful occult thriller.

Angel Heart (1987) Angel Heart features Robert Deniro, Micky Rourke and Lisa Bonet. In this controversial supernatural thriller, Micky Rourke's character runs into an Astrologer who is connected with some black magic practitioners. When he asks her to do his chart, she looks at his palm and responds "I don't think you would like what I see, Mr. Angel" The movie centers around the practice of Voodoo and the selling of one's soul to the devil played by Robert Deniro. Tarot Cards and Palmistry are also featured in this supernatural horror flick. One of my favorite films.

Lord of Illusions (1995). In this scene the main character gets a reading from a Tarot Reader and the Reader ends up getting impaled numerous times after turning over the 10 of Swords card. From IMDB: During a routine case in L.A., NY private investigator Harry D'Amour stumbles over members of a fanatic cult, who are waiting for the resurrection of their leader Nix.

Root Chakra- Muladhaar - Started from the Bottom

The first chakra is called "the root chakra" or Muladhaar in Sanskrit. It is located at the base of the spine. It's linked to survival instincts and our ability to ground ourselves. It governs security, passion, trust, heredity, feet and legs and your relationship with money, home and job. When the root chakra is balanced, you can feel safe, connected to the earth and in touch with yourself and body completely. It allows for spiritual development to be possible.
Muladhaar develops your feelings of safety. It is connected to the crown chakra and maintains the hormonal system of the body. The root chakra is like a root of a tree, if it is not strong or balanced, then the leaves of the tree cannot fully grow or bloom. The crown would be the leaves of the tree.
The root chakra is located between the genitals and anus, which is called the perineum. When you are in a seated position on the ground, you are in contact with the energy of the earth. This initial energy draws up to the crown.

Astrology is a science, court rules. Astrology, the study of interplanetary alignments as the explanation for everything, is a credible science, an Indian court has ruled.
By Dean Nelson, New Delhi 3:57PM GMT 04 Feb 2011 The judgment will be met with relief in India, where engagements are decided, wedding and election dates are chosen on the basis of detailed charts drawn up by revered astrologers. A day deemed "auspicious" by an astrologer can lead to thousands of weddings and traffic gridlock.
For years it has been dismissed by the world's scientists, but according to the Bombay High Court astrologers are officially their colleagues.
The ruling was made in a case brought by a campaign group, Janhit Manch, which sought a ruling against practitioners of "tantric" black magic and "fake" astrologers. Their "work" should be prohibited by India's Drugs and Megical Remedies Act (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 which bans false claims in advertisements.
The judges rejected the application, however, relying on an affidavit by Dr R Ramakrishna, a government deputy drug controller, who said: "The Act does not cover astrology and related sciences. Astrology is a trusted science and is being practised for over 4000 years."
Lakshman Das Madan, one of India's leading astrologers and editor of the bestselling 'Babaji' magazine, offers detailed predictions ranging from domestic political tips on ministerial resignations to the wedding dates for top cricket stars. He remains hugely popular despite several errors. In 2009, he predicted the Hindu nationalist opposition BJP and its allies would win the election. In fact it lost spectacularly to its Congress rivals.

Are You RH Negative?

Beyond the Pale: The Rh Neg Blood Type Mystery
by POLITICALLY CONFUSED (December 29, 2009)Is reality a video game made by reptilian aliens?
Where there is uncertainty, man is quick to insert anything to plug the void. Remain sceptical at all times.
Or should that be 'sssceptical'?...
Best introduction to this controversy
Of the human blood types, O is the most common. It is a universal blood type. Blood types are further broken down into two groups, negative and positive. This is called the RH factor. The RH factor is the Rhesus (rhesus as in monkey) blood factor.
If your blood tests positive for this, you have the factor in your blood. If you test negative, you do not have the factor in your blood.
The RH factor is a protein found in the human blood that is directly linked to the Rhesus Monkey.
When blood type is inherited from your parents, it is known that this factor element of the blood is the most consistent human or animal characteristic passed on to the off spring.

The Dodgers are Believers!

LA Dodgers owners paid Russian scientist for psychic baseball boost Frank and Jamie McCourt employed Vladimir Spunt to beam thought waves to boost the team's chances
- Ed Pilkington in New York
- guardian.co.uk,
As a sport that arouses almost religious fervour it is unsurprising that baseball has its fair share of superstitions.
It's said that you will be jinxed if you lend your bat to another hitter, while some players stick chewing gum on their caps to bring good luck.
But rarely in the history of America's national game has there been anything quite like this. Frank and Jamie McCourt, the multi-millionaire owners of the LA Dodgers, have been revealed to have employed a Russian scientist to beam thought waves to boost the team's chances.
According to Bill Shaikin of the LA Times, the McCourts paid Vladimir Shpunt several hundred thousand dollars over five years to apply his "V energy" and help the Dodgers to victory. Between 2004, the first season under the McCourts' ownership, and 2009, Shpunt was retained for Dodgers matches, despite the fact that he knew little about baseball.
He would channel positive vibes towards the players as he sat in Boston, some 3,000 miles from LA. By watching the game on television, he could get instant feedback on how his energy was affecting performance.
"It's very big work. I like this team to win," Shpunt told Shaikin. Shpunt began his professional life as a physicist in St Petersburg but says he discovered he had healing powers in the 1980s.
He was introduced to Jamie McCourt in 2004 and claims to have cured her through long-distance energy transmission of an eye infection.
The McCourts appear to have been delighted by his services. In September 2008, after the Dodgers won their National League West championship, Frank wrote in an email "special thank you to vlad for all of his hard work". Dodgers fans are understandably bemused by the news of the unconventional arrangement which comes in the middle of the McCourt's very messy divorce. "Say what you want about the McCourt ownership," wrote the fanzine True Blue LA, "but you have to hand it to them for finding new and creative ways to embarrass themselves."

Boy Sees Grandma While Temporarily Dead

Paul Eicke: Claims he saw his great grandmother in heaven while he was clinically dead after falling into a pond A boy of three claims he saw his great grandmother in heaven while he was clinically dead after falling into a pond. Paul Eicke came back to life more than three hours after his heart stopped beating. It is believed he was in the pond at his grandparents' house for several minutes before his grandfather saw him and pulled him out. His father gave him heart massage and mouth-to-mouth during the ten minutes it took a helicopter to arrive. Paramedics then took over and Paul was taken the ten-minute journey to hospital. Doctors tried to resuscitate him for hours. They had just given up when, three hours and 18 minutes after he was brought in, Paul's heart started beating independently. Professor Lothar Schweigerer, director of the Helios Clinic where Paul was taken, said: 'I have never experienced anything like it. 'When children have been underwater for a few minutes they mostly don't make it. This is a most extraordinary case.' The boy said that while unconscious he saw his great grandmother Emmi, who had turned him back from a gate and urged him to go back to his parents. Paul said: 'There was a lot of light and I was floating. I came to a gate and I saw Grandma Emmi on the other side. 'She said to me, "What are you doing here Paul? You must go back to mummy and daddy. I will wait for you here." 'I knew I was in heaven. But grandma said I had to come home. She said that I should go back very quickly. 'Heaven looked nice. But I am glad I am back with mummy and daddy now.' Paul is now back at home in Lychen...
